On Saturday, December 10, 2011, the Oak Glen High School Marching Band (under the direction of Wendy Zinn) participated in the New Cumberland Christmas Parade. Along with Oak Glen, the city of New Cumberland was honored to host Weirton High School Marching Band as well. Line up for the parade was at 4:00p.m., and started about 5:00p.m.. It was blustery cold, but Oak Glen pushed through and did an excellent job! They sounded absolutely wonderful and left their community proud once again. This was the last event for the marching band this season, and their excellent performance on Saturday was a great end to the marching year.
As we close the 2011 Oak Glen High School Marching Band season, we now move into the concert season. (I will post again when time is closer) The Winter concert will be Tuesday, December 20th staring 7:00p.m. and will be held in the 'Little Theatre' at the high school. I still have several more I will be able to upload when my break starts from college, so keep an open eye.
